Identify What You Truly Want

The ultimate SATISFACTION in life is the FULFILMENT of our desires, passions, goals, objectives!

Life can be a mad never-ending race. I was part of that race; constantly running after immaterial/irrelevant stuff that were not productive or constructive or harmonious for me. I did not know the important things in life till I paused to reflect.

 

What is Life Purpose

The main life purpose for everyone is to BE HAPPY, that is, life is going our way, and our expectations are met.

The trick to making life really count is to:

  • feel proud and satisfied with life,
  • enjoy and appreciate every moment,
  • treat experiences as life’s beautiful journey,
  • be happy in the current moment instead of ‘waiting for something’, or ‘constantly looking forward’,
  • experience and embrace the present moment.

 

Where to Begin

To uncover your life purpose, start by:

  • Identifying your passions that give you meaning, that you have a burning desire for, that you connect with, and that give you fulfilment.
  • Training yourself, improve your skill sets, and expand your knowledge and outcomes.
  • Prioritising what is truly important for you, to best utilise your energy and time.

 

Some of my life purposes are to:

  • Live with the least amount of anxiety, pressure, or drama
  • Make every minute count, whether I am relaxing, having FUN, or doing something constructive/productive, utilising my skills, because life is precious
  • Love and respect myself, grow, evolve, and expand with life’s experiences
  • Serve others and make a positive difference
  • Build deeper connections for a more meaningful and fulfilling life
  • Ensure my children grow into excellent citizens of our world
  • Create magnificent experiences in home, work, and creativity by travelling, dancing, writing, cooking

Below is a powerful strategy to turn your dreams into lived reality.

 

DESIRE/GOAL/INTENTION

Identify your true desires and high-quality goals that mean everything to you.
Then, set clear intentions of what you desire, for instance, I want a new house, or I want to ‘let go’ of unhealthy/toxic habits and people from my life.  

What do you want?

 

PURPOSE/RESULT/OUTCOME

Why do you want your demands/goals; what are the reasons for your desire?

Define the specific result/s you want CLEARLY, and the reason/s for those results. This will help you to focus on the result/s you are after. Your “why” will fuel your persistence.

 

CLARITY

Know exactly what you want; be sure of what you want. Visualise it.

Describe it clearly. If it is about money, specify the exact amount and the timeline.

 

DRIVE (resilient, consistent, persistent)

Let your passion for your desire (family, health, body, career, relationships, finances) ignite a fire within you.

This is the hunger that will keep you consistent, persistent, resilient. Take chances to start something (anything) beautiful.

 

DECISION

Be firm about your decision to achieve your identified goal/desire, that your goal is non-negotiable. Your subconscious mind will follow your command.

 

KNOWLEDGE

Gain the knowledge, skillset, and leverage that will help you to achieve your goals. Research, study, and learn the path to your desire.

 

STRATEGY

Instead of going after your desires clueless, plan a powerful strategy based on your skills, resources, tools, time, effort, knowledge, experience, to consistently get the outcome you desire.

 

PLAN

Create a daily plan aligned to your strategy:

  • Plan your essential daily activities in advance.
  • Schedule these priority actions through the day realistically.
  • Focus on required activities however small and insignificant it may seem, and value and enjoy it to the fullest, e.g., whether you are washing dishes, or preparing your work presentation, enjoy and carry out all the activities zealously.
  • Tweak your plan as your day evolves.
  • Celebrate daily, for example, arrange flowers, set the dining table in a fancy way, light candles, or cook something nice…anything to make you and your day, feel special.
  • Avoid overplanning. Let life unfold gracefully.
  • Take frequent breaks to remain refreshed.
  • Say no to anything that distracts you from your goals.

 

SCHEDULE                

Schedule everything on your calendar — physical diary and phone.

Ensure you make time for what matters.

 

SELF-MONITOR and RE-PLAN

At the end of the day, check with yourself:

  • How did you progress?
  • How did you handle your emotions?
  • What did you overcome today?

 

EMOTION

Focus on positive emotions and feel happy/excited toward your desire.

Visualise the victory. Let excitement lead you.

 

RESOURCES

Your resources include your attitude, thinking, determination, time, effort, dedication, commitment, the words you speak, your behaviour, visualisation, mental focus, emotions, and physiology.

The way you organise these resources will determine whether you will achieve your goals. For example, if you use anger instead of positivity, the results will be different!

Use your resources wisely.

 

ENERGY

Execute your plan with vitality, enthusiasm, and joy.

 

MINDSET

Affirm that you can achieve your desires.

Pump yourself with positive inspiration that you can work through any limitation. Replace limitations with empowerment.

 

RIGHT STATE

Shift into the state of confidence, happiness, and strength for your actions and plans to take effect.

 

PREPARATION

PREPARE for all your upcoming activities and tasks.

Being prepared is a huge advantage.

 

EXECUTION

Take massive, effective action.

Do the right things at the right time, with no procrastination.

 

FOCUS

Give your full attention on the right actions.

Be 100% committed, no shortcuts.

Keep a solid determination that does not fade.

Your desire must be greater than your excuses.
